Rustic Kula Cabin

Arrived yesterday afternoon to our little cabin on the side of Haleakala mountain. I imagine this little lanai was the original house on the property. There are abundant fruit trees but not ripe yet. Gorgeous views, chickens, lots of green and foliage to explore. Can't help but think how much this place reminds me of "grandmothers cabin." Climbed the hill to watch the sunset and the kids run down. Fong's Store up the road is a relic that is hard to believe is not a museum. Felt like I walked back in time to buy eggs and milk. The guy behind the desk had to finish his phone call on the rotary phone before helping me!  It's pretty remote out here and quiet...
